The Red Hill Valley Protest

Told By Wilamina McGrimmont

I remember the morning we gathered in the valley, our breath rising in the cool August air. We weren’t just standing against a highway—we were standing for the trees, the water, and the stories carried through this land.

The Red Hill protests were about more than stopping bulldozers; they were about protecting a place we loved and believed deserved a future.
